First time doing a crochet along? Read our FAQs here.

  1. I signed up. Bought the yarn. No instructions in my inbox! So sad. Can you send them again?/. Thank you!

  2. Over the last few weeks, i have uploading my photo 4 times. It has accepted 3 times, but i still don’t see it.

  3. I think the reason so many people are saying that it is not laying flat is that they pull the yarn too tight!

  4. I have entered my pinwheel afghan and I can not locate it in the gallery. Is something wrong with my work?

  5. Thanks everyone for helping me with the number of skeins.

  6. Mine does not lie flat. Sad

  7. Can’t upload photos. Doesn’t work. Or do we have to wait?

  8. Hi, so should it be a-waffling as I go? I do seem to recall this is a Christmas in July project?

Will it lay flat as it gets heavier?

    • Sorry to give you bad news, but it probably means your gauge is off. You probably crochet looser than most. If you switch to a smaller crochet hook, it could fix it. Of course, you might need to go back several rows and redo them. Or it’s possible you are misreading the pattern directions, especially something to do with the increases.

  9. Pity the signup closed early, would like to have signed up. I’m sure you have a reason, but seems strange to not allow people to participate in an activity that sells your yarn. Even if you cut off the coupon giveaway, it would be nice to have the option to participate. Oh well, maybe next time!

You can still participate the sign up was only for the coupon.

      • Thank you, I finally figured that out :)
        Appreciate you telling me!

      • Hi, Laura Jean!
I , too, am a “latie” and wish to participate. Is there any way we are able to get Week one of the challenge so we can play catchup? I am very busy with my “little business” but want to try to be part of this exciting challenge. Any info you are able to send would be very much appreciated.
        Keep on hookin’,

  10. I am so excited I just can’t handle it…doing the happy dance. Missed doing these things! Have a great week all

I read it as 1 skein of one color, 1 skein of another and both are complimentary of each other like blue and grey, red and green,,,etc…on Mikeys site Dan suggests colors

    • On the coupon I received when I signed up, there is this info:

    • Debbie Kousmat July 10, 2017 at 10:30 pm

Just two colors that complement each other…it is a Fall accessory apparently…..Diva Dan has put a few suggestions together …Pink with purple, Dark blue with off white, grey and white, black and grey, purple and yellow,Blue and pink, choose your own colors….I guess you can just pick 2 colors that you like or if giving as a gift, your gift receiver likes.

    • Michelle Porter July 16, 2017 at 5:02 pm

Any colors you like! This is a Christmas project, though. Go with what you like for Christmas colors.

    • Any colors you want. I would go with colors that are Christmas. Greens, reds, white, mix of the three colors. Gold is also a great color. One can’t forget silver and copper either.

  27. Am wondering when is the deadline for submitting photos of the completed work ?

    • Please answer this!

      • According to official rules the deadline is August 20 for photos to be uploaded or posted to Instagram. I’m doing mine in the gold/purple combo, but got a late start so not sure I will finish in time to enter. Oh well. It’s for a co-worker from Louisiana who is expecting a grand baby in October. All is good!!

        • Thanks, guess I didn’t read the rules…I decided not to participate. Not too crazy about the pattern and I see that some are not getting it to lie flat. So I guess I chose right!

  28. Im feelin’ the white/grey! ( or the midnight navy /off white). :)
