Lemon Drop

Lemon Drop

Join us and the Craft Yarn Council this April in the Lemon Drop for Stress Awareness Month! Many of us stitch to unwind, and relieve the stress of our day – so let’s #StitchAwayStress this month by crocheting or knitting a unique lemon stress ball!

Not only will you feel relaxed stitching, but the squeezable lemon isĀ a great stress buster!

Leave them in areas that you could use some unwinding – like at your workstation, or car. Drop lemons off in places where others could use their healing power, too!

Get the knit pattern here, and crochet pattern here.

  1. just made my first lemon and delivered to a former co-worker of mine. Got a message that she loves it,

Was surprised how quickly it worked up — trickiest part was the very beginning with the green, once I got past the problem…piece of lemon.

  2. These look like fun. As a crocheter I appreciate new patterns.

  3. My crochet club, Three Rivers Crochet of Pittsburgh, contributed lemons to this drive (some made by me!). Enjoy!

I am making gifts for my visit to Kentucky this year and you can bet many of these will be going with me. I can make one for everyone and then just scatter a bunch of them around my sister’s house where we will all be gathering. Thank you for the perfect little idea.

  6. cute idea!
thank you for the sharing and the free patern:-D

  7. Would like to know where we can get the tags to give these as gifts as displayed with the lemons and limes.

  8. I think this is a great ideal to make stress lemon they will fit in the hand better than some of the balls you get. A lot of people like yo squeeze them for stress reliever. Be a great little gift sour lemon.

  9. I would love to have a copy of the tags to print off. It would make giving the lemons so much fun!

  10. That is a very good question. Where can we print the card to attach when we give them to others?

  11. Is the poli fill listed in materials standard fluffy poly fill or the bead type polyfill they use for the mushy pillows?

  12. i also would like the tags. i have been making these for awhile now. are these twinkie chan’s designs?

  13. Is there a loom knit pattern?

  14. oops forgot to check for a reply to my email Thanks…Gail

  15. Yes where can we get the cards to print or at least tell me what they say and I can print up cards myself. Thanks. These are so cute!

I would like to print the tags as well.

    • I think it is a great idea to make stress balls. I can hardly wait to get some yarn. I probably have some scraps of yarn I can use too. The demonstration was great.

  17. What a neat idea! Can’t wait to start handing out lemons………#StitchAwayStress

  18. You don’t know how timely this idea is for me. I have several friends and family members who could really benefit from these little stress busters! My question is this: Is there a link to a pdf file for the little tag to attach to it? I could probably make up one myself but I’m sure that it would be appreciated by many readers if one was available to download. My apologies if I missed the link. Thanks, Robin
